Nobody told me life’s biggest challenge was about confronting my own vulnerabilities.
That it takes acknowledging my ignorance to realize that my perception has its limits to empathize with others.
That fear and insecurity come from lack of knowledge and experience, and will remain unless I actively pursue familiarity in determination.
That all choices in terms of words and actions should be owned in order to gain learning and control of their consequences.
That truth is a remedy no matter how ugly it is, and it takes courage to embrace without judgment.
That many times it is going to take a toll on me because I fail to perceive that my perspective is narrow. Because I don’t approach to get a better grasp. Because I neglect to witness my own shortcomings. Because I refuse to see the naked truth.
Nobody told me these are some of the biggest life lessons.
